Classes

Hip Hop

Hip Hop is a type of street-dance style that is typically performed to hip hop music. Hip Hop includes distinctive elements such as locking, popping, and breaking. This high-energy and high-intensity class challenges students in a fun way.

Contemporary

This is an expressive style of free-form dance, where music is interpreted through combination of various types of abstract moves. Students are encouraged to practice and perfect their skills in control, balance, flexibility and core strength whilst dancing to some thought-provoking and evocative musical pieces.

Jazz

Jazz is a structured style of dance that is more traditionally associated with stage shows. However, modern jazz often borrows from other dance styles such as hip hop and ballet, and students perform choreography to a wide variety of classic pieces and current hits. Jazz provides students with a solid dance foundation, improves fitness and hones their coordination.

Tap

Tap is a style of American theatrical dance that focuses on percussive footwork, musicality and rhythm. Our tap classes are suitable for all ages and abilities, with dance routines choreographed to a wide variety of music.

Acrobatics

Acrobatics is a fun fusion of gymnastic elements and creative dance, where students build their agility, strength and flexibility through the practice of moves such as forward rolls, tumbling, handstands, cartwheels, and bridges. Students are ultimately able to progress on to Acrobatic Extension classes and be challenged by more complex techniques.

Ballet

Classical ballet is a highly technical dance style and is considered the basic foundation to most other forms of dance. Ballet teaches students body awareness, alignment, as well as physical grace and poise. Students learn ballet terminology, rhythm, coordination, as well as precision and control through their practice of flowing, expressive and intricate movements.

Baby Jam

This class is a fun, interactive introduction to music and movement for our youngest students (18 months to 3 years). Children are exposed to the basic elements of dance in a playful way using engaging props, musical instruments and games. Caregivers and children participate together throughout the class.
